Rose Rayhaan Hotel by Rotana
LOCATION: DUBAI, UAE
USE: HOSPITALITY
SCOPE: INTERNAL & FAÇADE LIGHTING DESIGN
Soaring 333 metres and 72 storeys, Rose Rayhaan by Rotana is the world’s tallest hotel tower, and flagship property of the renowned hospitality brand. Itsprime location, on Dubai’s famous Sheikh Zayed Road, demanded an external lighting proposal that would stress the tower’s scale and magnitude, while keeping it economically feasible.
The design approach was to concentrate on the key architectural features, to render the most visual impact with the least possible intervention. Base, insets, corner fins and coronation were the chosen elements, which provide the building with a bold, yet elegant appearance during the night.
The internal lighting strategy was to create a sophisticated and “cosmopolitan” atmosphere, while taking care of the functional aspects that such a program requires.
