The podium is the closest element to the marina promenade, so focusing on it provided the biggest impact, besides fostering a sense of public space and community. Lighting had the role of attracting visitors to the restaurants, stores and galleries located in the building.

The narrative developed by our team was inspired by the sea colors and movement. The vertical fins were illuminated from their backside with custom designed Led profiles, spreading a gradient of light from within and recreating the waves. Several polycarbonate panels with diverse finishes and internal structures were mocked-up, to identify the one with the best spread of light and glow.

By default the facade lighting is set in static warm white tones, while the dynamic “wave of light” effect is reserved for special occasions.
