The lighting design concept was inspired primarily by the building’s proximity to the sea and the shoreline. Our lighting narrative involved contrasting the rise and fall of sand dunes against a backdrop of waves emanating from the sea. We thus translated this concept onto the façade through a relatively simple yet contemporary lighting scheme. Our lighting strategy focused on illuminating the architecture’s generous volumetric language whilst simultaneously targeting specific lighting treatments to express particular architectural details. We emphasized the architecture’s unique detailing with linear lighting so as to highlight horizontal and vertical profiles, thereby creating a smooth overall flow of movement.
